Mix and Match Learning
When children are organically growing and doing, why do we worry so much about their learning? There's no boundaries in learning and the river of questioning and exploring flows in all directions. Everyday, children are integrating their learning and it isn't compartmentalized or broken. When a farmer is growing vegetables or grains, so many different aspects of learning are involved: economy, mathematics, sustainability, mechanical knowledge, patterns, weather science, language, selling, marketing, scientific observation and medicinal knowledge is involved. There is so much involved when he is doing farming. Integrated means they don't say now I will do history, or now I will do science so on so forth. Learning is interconnected and comes without restraint.
